Local Police UAPS honoured in National Distinctions
The unit was honoured for their work in the prevention and care of victims of domestic violence.

The Protection and Social Attention Unit (UAPS) of the Local Police in Xàbia has been honoured in the VIII Edition of the Local Police National Distinctions which was celebrated in Albacete on Tuesday 29th June, awards that are granted to those people, organisms or entities that have stood out in their work in the defense of security by professional merits and good practices.
Officers Maria del Carman Marín and Elena Torres were accompanied by chief superintendent José Antonio Monfort to receive the distinction in the category of Local Police National Good Practice Awards in recognition of their developing work in the prevention and care of victims of domestic violence during 1ts 15 years of operation.
The jusy especially valued the close collaboration of the UAPS with the municipal departments of Social Services, Equality, Health, and others involved which offer victims comprehensive protection.
