Local police trap snake in port restaurant terrace
Officers have returned it to its natural habitat.

Local police officers have trapped a snake that had caused some alarm on a hotel terrace in the port area of Xàbia. The police were called at about 2.00pm to attend this unusual situation in Avenida Marina Española.
The snake had taken refuge under tables on the terrace of a crowded restaurant and the police were called, bringing with them a special tool to catch reptiles and, after verifying that it is an indigenous and not dangerous species, they have returned it to its natural habitat.
