Living Chess: Street Closure Information
A short stretch of Avenida Lepanto will be closed to traffic from Thursday 25th July.
The 26th edition of Els Escacs Vivents de Xàbia, the town’s only Fiesta of National Tourist Interest, will be performed on Avenida Lepanto in Duanes de la Mar on the evening of Saturday 27th July.
As a result, the section of Avenida Lepanto between the pyramid roundabout (Avenida Jaume I) and the dolphin roundabout (Avenida dels Furs) will be closed from Thursday 25th July, which will result in the re-location of the bus stops and taxi rank to Avenida Augusta (the fountain roundabout).
In addition, access to Calle Severo Ochoa will restricted to residents only.
It is expected that all roads will be open to traffic on Monday 29th July with the bus stops and taxi rank returning to their normal locations.
