The talented musicians and singers of La Tuna de Xàbia celebrated its 30th anniversary with an unforgettable concert in the Plaza de la Iglesia, an event full of surprises, music and emotions. The square was packed with people, many of whom had secured their seats an hour before the start, keen to experience this special occasion, and their patience was rewarded with a magical concert in which music and tradition came together to commemorate three decades of history of this popular musical group.

During the concert, La Tuna de Xàbia dedicated some emotional words to those present, going over their career. They fondly recalled their performances at marriage proposals and weddings as well as their trips to various cities in Spain, such as Valladolid, Logroño, Santiago de Compostela, Asturias, Toledo, and Granada, as well as their international performances in countries such as Poland, Argentina, Paraguay and Scotland, among many others, where they have always proudly carried the name and shield of Xàbia.

The event also included the participation of singers from other groups, and the occasion was used to invite them to the next national competition that will take place in Castelldefels. Among the repertoire of songs, those present enjoyed classic songs, highlighting a special version of ‘Libre’ by Nino Bravo and their usual episodes of humour.

One of the most exciting moments of the night was the entrance of the musicians and singers handing out carnations to the member sof the public, a gesture full of affection and tradition. In addition, the evening was marked by a romantic declaration of love, when one of the musicians surprised the audience by proposing to his girlfriend in the middle of the event.

La Tuna de Xàbia thanked all those who attended for sharing this very special moment with them, and expressed their desire to continue creating music and keeping the brotherhood and tradition alive for many more years.
