La Mar de Tapas returns to the port with the best seafood snacks
Fifteen restaurants will participate in this gastronomic route over the weekend of 4th/6th November

The best seafood tapas cuisine returns to Xàbia in the form of the ninth edition of La Mar de Tapas. After the enforced absence caused by the pandemic, the Port de Xàbia business association is bringing back this popular food festival during the weekend of November 4th to 6th with the participation of fifteen establishments based in the port that will present their best snacks in a tapas route.
The president of the association, Cande Ros, explained that the event will start on the evening of Friday 4th November at 7.30pm, will continue on Saturday afternoon between 12.30pm and 3.00pm and the Saturday evening at 7.30pm and conclude with an afternoon session on Sunday 6th. The tapas will have to be made with seafood as the main ingredient and will have a price of 2.80 euros per ticket, which can be bought from several sales points across the port zone. There will also be a special price for drinks and even a dessert proposal.
With regards to entertainment, there will be a craft fair during all three days, ambient music and children’s activities on Saturday and Sunday morning which includes a new feature organised by the Juniors section in the port which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Organiser Maria Buigues explained that it will be a family treasure hunt at 5.00pm on Saturday 5th entitled “La Carta Perdida de Sorolla” in which young and old can all have fun.
The councilor responsible for Economic Development and Duanes, Marta Bañuls, expressed her excitement that the tapas festival will be returning to the port after a two-year break. Bañuls explained that the weekend will have a lot of activity in addition to the gastronomic offerings, including live music and children’s activities as well as some of the activities organised as part of the Xàbia Negra festival.
