Joventut Xàbia cries ‘Força!’ in celebration of the XXXIII Miguel Buigues memorial

Last Saturday, the Palau Municipal d’Esports welcomed the great green-black family of CB Joventut Xàbia for the celebration of the thirty-third edition of the Miguel Buigues Andrés Memorial, an unmissable appointment for the local basketball club that honours the figure of this player who also gives the pavilion its name.
Joventut wore their best clothes for the occasion, kit with a very modern design with nods to that of the great teams, without losing its green-black essence. In addition to the usual family photo of all those people who make up the basketball family in Xàbia, the twelve teams that make up the club’s ranks this season were presented. Joventut is experiencing one of its periods with the greatest number of registered players in recent years, with a large youth section, and remains a mainstay of the municipality in promoting grassroots sport.
During the exaltation of local basketball, several matches were played, as usual, in which the Joventut prevailed with ease, demonstrating their obvious strength: in a match between the Senior male Bonapata and El Pilar they finished 61-39, while the Senior female did the same against Benissa leaving 60-28. Finally, the Junior male Exca-Jávea beat Oliva 79-52.
