José Luis Boronat (Club Náutico de Jávea) claimed fourth place in the Copa España de IQFoil which was held in the Bay of Cádiz last weekend. Boronat participated as part of his training schedule with the Real Federación de Vela in Lanzarote, moving to Puerto Sherry, which was the base port.
Only three days of sailing could take place and it was in the first that the Xàbia sailor achieved his best results, claiming first and third. On the second day, he claimed a place in the top ten, whilst the final day he claimed another first and third.
Boronat admitted that he was disappointed not to have been placed higher in the classifications, although he recognised that this was due to some mistakes on his part. All that remains is to continue training, he said, and iron out those mistakes so as not to make them again.
After the Spanish Cup, Boronat was upset for not having been higher in the standings, although he recognized that this had been due to some mistakes. “Now all that remains is to continue training and polish those mistakes so as not to make them again,” stressed the sailor.
