Javea Players: Yee-ha, it’s Panto Time!
The Little Panto on the Prairie will run from 8th to 12th January 2025, with tickets costing €12.50.
Jávea Players are venturing once again into the wild world of pantomime, in the wild west of Windy Bottom. Rich Lock’s new, original panto revolves around Madame Moonshine, who runs the local saloon with her hapless barman, Tumbleweed. However, the evil sheriff, Cactus Jack, plans to take over the saloon, turning it into a money-making casino and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
Mexican henchmen, José and Hose B, are hired to kidnap our heroine, Sandy, keeping her in an old, abandoned mine. This will also prevent our hero, Buck the cowboy, from winning the Cowboy Derby. If Sheriff Jack wins, he will be able to evict Madame Moonshine.
Tumbleweed enlists the magical help of the very unlikely Fairy Saddlesore, when he ‘rescues’ her from a well – don’t ask, buy your tickets and all will be revealed!
All sorts of mayhem ensues with every pun, corny joke, risqué comment and laugh squeezed out of a very clever, funny script.
The Little Panto on the Prairie will run from 8th to 12th January 2025, four evening performances at 19 30, with a matinée on Sunday at 15.00, in the Studio Theatre. Tickets cost €12.50. Box Office opens next week. For further information see: www.javeaplayers.com.
