There’s still time to purchase tickets for what may be Pip Utton’s final performances in Jávea.

Adolf is already sold out, but there are tickets available on 21st and 22nd February, when he will be performing as Francis Bacon.

Described by Mrs Thatcher as “that dreadful man who paints those horrible pictures´, Francis Bacon was Irish-born British painter, known for his raw, unsettling imagery. Despite his generally bleak outlook, Bacon was charismatic, articulate and well-read. A bon vivant, he spent his middle age eating, drinking and gambling in London’s Soho with like-minded friends, including Lucian Freud.

His lifestyle of alcohol, gambling and homosexual promiscuity may not appeal at first glance, but you can be sure that Pip will provide an entertaining and insightful performance. Contains strong language and swearing, but there will also be laughter. As usual, Pip will take questions from the audience at the end of the show.

Jávea Players Studio Theatre at 7.30pm. Tickets: €14.  See www.javeaplayers.com for more info.
