Jávea Players: Creating Stunning Masks
Don’t miss this magical show – the Box Office opens on 28th March.

The Jávea Players’ next production is Beauty & the Beast [2nd-7th May in Gata Unión Musical]. It is a mystical magic tour with talking tea pots, cups, clocks and chandeliers, but lurking in the forest there are wolves and the beast. You will be amazed by the stunning masks, made by the Ximore company, which provides technical solutions to start-up companies and businesses.
Masks are crafted with a combination of modern technology using polylactic acid, and traditional artistry to ensure each piece is unique and visually striking. The process begins with a 3D printer, which creates the sturdy, detailed base of each mask. Printing one mask takes approximately 4-5 hours, and because the material is rigid, the masks cannot bend or be adjusted in shape.

Once the base is complete, each mask is painstakingly hand-painted individually, adding depth, texture, and personality to every piece. This painting process is meticulous and time-consuming, ensuring no two masks are exactly alike. The result is durable and visually dynamic, which combines precision technology with handcrafted detail, perfect for performances, events, or displays.
