Jávea Players: Auditions open for autumn play
Auditions for the wide range of characters will take place on Sunday 18th May.

Director Claire Schoonover wants to get her cast organised for the Jávea Players’ autumn play before the summer and auditions on Sunday 18th May from 2.00pm and 5.00pm in the Jávea Players’ Studio theatre.
Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Our Town, described by Edward Albee as “the greatest American play ever written”, relates the life of a small town — Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire — in order to tell the story of every town, the whole world over.
Narrated by a stage manager, we follow the Gibbs and Webb families through 12 years of life changes: from the mundane ‘Daily Life’, to romantic ‘Love and Marriage’, to the devastating and illuminating ‘Death and Eternity’. Through young lovers Emily and George, their strong and loving parents, and many other Grover’s Corners’ locals, Our Town turns the simple events of life into universal musings of what it means to be human.
There are 17 characters, roles large and small, so something for everyone. Don’t be shy, even if you have little or no experience, come along and audition. The show dates are 29th October to 2nd November.
