Indoor market tapas festival MercaTap returns this weekend
Tapas dishes will be on offer for 3 euros each with selected drinks just 1.50 euros.
This Saturday 25th May, between 7.00pm and 11.30pm, the Mercat Municipal de Xàbia – the indoor market – will be hosting another MERCATAP gastronomic festival, organised by the association of stallholders and the Department of Economic Dynamization.
During the evening, several market positions in the indoor market will be offering different tapas dishes for just 3 euros with selected drinks costing 1.50 euros. The event will be supported by live music from Susan Santos in the adjacent street at 10.30pm.
The dishes on offer will be:
- MONTANER · Putxero Meatball / Figatell
- XAVI A LA SAL · Coca de la Abuela Dolores, winner of the second prize at the V Concurso Nacional de Coques de Oliva.
- ORO LIMÓN · Poke Bowl with wakame, cucumber, carrot, cranberries and homemade turmeric rice with bean tofu and seeds / Salmon with egg and ham taquitos.
- CARNISSERIA MUT · Pincho (skewer).
- BARKET · Octopus Bombon / Boiled Shrimp.
- XARCUTERIA BARTOLOMÉ · Quiche Lorraine / Home-made Boletus Croquette with Truffle and Iberian Ham.
- LA FORMATGERIA · Cheese Platter / Ham Platter.
- BAR MERCAT · Apple Tart.
- CA MARIOLA · Octopus with Garlic Pepper / Miguelitos (cream-filled puff pastry).
