Guardia Civil Alicante recognize the work of the local police in Xàbia
The award was made in Alicante during the institutional act to mark the feast day of the patron saint of the Guardia Civil, Nuestra Señora del Pilar.

The Policía Local de Xàbia has received the Honorary Distinction of the Guardia Civil. The national security force recognised the work and collaboration of the local police force, especially police dog handler Alberto Reyes in the speciality of search, location and rescue of missing people.
The award of this distinction took place in Alicante during the institutional act of the Guardia Civil of the province to mark the feast day of the force’s exalted patron Virgen del Pilar on October 12th and which was chaired by the sub-delegate of the Government in Alicante, Araceli Poblador, and the colonel of the Alicante command.
Officer Reyes and the Chief Superintendent, José Antonio Monfort, received the award in the presence of the councilor responsible for Citizen Security and Emergencies in Xàbia, Juan Ortolá.
