Great success for the boards from Xàbia at Alicante Sailing Week

The sailors in the windsurfing section of Club Náutico de Jávea recorded great results at the Alicante Sailing Week which has been held at the Real Club Náutico de Regatas in the city.

José Luis Boronat claimed the top position on the podium in the Open Foil windsurfing class, whilst Carlos Marí also finished top of the pile in the Under-17 BicTechno class, with Jacobo Ramón taking second spot in the same class.

Boronat showed his superiority in the eight heats of his class, finished top in all but two of the races. Jorge Aranzueque (Club Náutico de Santa Pola) finished second, whilst Javier Clement, also from Santa Pola, finished third.

Marí was first in three of the five heats held in his class, with Jacobo Ramón taking top spot in the other two races to finish second overall. Adrián López (Club Náutico de Alicante Costa Blanca) finished third.

The youngest in the squad, Pablo Momparler, claimed third spot in the Under-15 BicTechno class, behind first-place Francesco Anne and runner-up Andrea Sira Martínez, both of Club Náutico de Valencia.

The squad results were completed with Alex Ortega and Octavio Ramón, who were 4th and 5th respectively in the Open Foil class, Julia Martínez, who was 16th in the Under-17 BicTechno, and Alejandro Serrat, who was ranked 8th in the Bic Techno class.

Next week, it will be the turn of the sailors in the Optimist A dinghy class.
