Fogueres 2025: Quintà 2025 takes to the streets in an informal presentation parade

The young people of Quintà 2025, the main protagonists of next year’s Fogueres de Sant Joan, arguably the biggest party of the year in Xàbia, continued their preparations for their biggest moment of their lives – so far – with an informal parade around the historic centre to introduce themselves to the people of the town.

Accompanied by the ubiquitous ‘xaranga’ and the main representatives of 2024, the youngsters made their way from the Plaza de la Constitución and dance, sang and jumped along an extended route which took them around the ‘rondas’ and into Thiviers before making their way back to the start, watched by proud parents, encouraging residents and curious onlookers. Rockets heralded their approach, strings of firecrackers known as ‘tracas’ were lit at various points, and the noise was a terrific combination of music, singing and pyrotechnics.

There are still seven months to go before the great party begins, making their 18th year, but the members of Quintà 2025 are determined to enjoy every single minute of their moment as the centre of attention in Xàbia.
