The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has published the admission and enrollment calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year for the Infant, Primary, ESO and Baccalaureate levels.
The novelty this year is that the department further strengthens the online admission procedure through the ‘telematricula.es‘ platform. Thus, families, once they have obtained a school place, will be able to enroll online for the first time without having to go to the educational centre if they so wish. However, this new option does not prevent families who prefer it from being able to enroll in person as usual.
The presentation of online applications for admission in Infant and Primary will be from April 26 to May 4. On June 3, with the publication of the final lists of students admitted to each centre, enrollment will begin. From that same day until June 21, families who opt for the new ‘online’ procedure will be able to formalize the registration and then, from June 22 to July 6, those who want to do it in person can visit the relevant school.
Online admission for ESO and Bachillerato will be from May 26 to June 3. In the case of the ESO, the definitive lists of admitted students will be published on July 18 and on that same day, ‘online’ registration will begin, which will remain open until July 21. Families who choose to complete enrollment in person may do so from July 19 to 22.
The final lists of students admitted to Bachillerato will be published on July 22 and from this day until July 27 enrollment can be completed electronically and, if you choose to enroll in person, you must go to the relevant education centre from July 25 to 28.
The admission procedure is especially important for families who enroll their sons and daughters for the next course for the first time in 3-year-olds, in the free 2-year-old classrooms of the CEIP and in nursery schools owned by the Generalitat Valenciana from 0-3 years. In school admission for the next academic year 2022-2023, children born in 2020 are eligible for 2-year-old classes and those born in 2019 are eligible for 3-year-old classes.
In Primary, ESO and Bachillerato, families can use this procedure to a lesser extent, since they use it only to change their sons and daughters from an educational centre for different reasons, such as, for example, the change of residence from one town to another.
The admission process is the first procedure that is carried out for schooling for the first time or to request a change of educational centre. It is carried out by families and focuses on providing all the information and putting the options of the preferred centres to be able to make the assessment and determine the educational centre where the sons and daughters go to school.
The main way to carry out this procedure is online here, in which families have at their fingertips all the vacancies available, tutorials that will guide them through the procedure and the answers to the frequently asked questions that may arise during the process.
At this time, the Ministry is working on updating this online resource to be enabled so that it is operational in the planned admission calendar that has been indicated.
However, any family that needs help or does not have internet access can go to the educational centre where they want to enroll their sons and daughters to make the online admission.
