Easter Craft Fair celebrates its 40th edition with over 80 stalls, live music and entertainment
The fair will take place over the Easter weekend, Friday 18th April to Sunday 21st April.

Details for the 40th edition of the hugely popular Xàbia Easter Craft Fair, one of the most iconic events on the local calendar, have been confirmed in a press conference attended by the councillor responsible for Economic Development, Juanlu Cardona, the president of the Xàbia Històrica Business Association, Raúl Caselles; and the association’s technical advisor, Jaume Serra.
Long established as a benchmark for promoting the local economy, the fair will hold its 40th edition from Friday 18th April (Viernes Santo · Good Friday) to Monday 21st April (Easter Monday) in the historic centre, bringing together 85 craft stalls spread across the Placeta del Convent, Calle Mayor, and Plaza de Baix. And, as a new feature to the familiar programme, a local agricultural produce market will also be set up on Saturday 19th April with a dozen stalls offering fruits, vegetables, honey, wine, oil, and artisanal jams, among other products.

This year’s program also includes numerous parallel activities designed for all audiences: from children’s workshops on making vegetable soap, natural toothpaste, ceramic jewellery, and clay modeling, to large-scale cultural offerings such as the musical show “1238: Crònica d’un Somni” (in English – “1238: Chronicle of a Dream”) which showcases the life and exploits of King Jaume I with the participation of the Xirimitab’s, Cor Ars Nova and dancers from Endanza.
There will also be the “Mostra de balls i cançons de La Marina”, a demonstration of traditional music and dancing performed by the Grup de Danses Portitxol, as well as concerts, street entertainment, and festive events, such as the annual gathering of local peñas and associations on Sunday 20th April (Domingo de Resurreción – Easter Sunday) around the church square.
The Soler Blasco Museum will also join the programme with a special opening over the Easter weekend, from 10.00am to 1.30pm.
