The local branches of the Cruz Roja in Dénia and Xàbia have delivered gifts which can be handed out to young children who go to the health centres in these municipalities to undergo a PCR test.
The Head of Paediatrics of the Department of Health of Dénia (DSD), Dr. Josep Mut, thanked the population for the effort “for the annoyance involved in the taking of the test, especially in young children aged between 3-6 years”. However, he stressed the importance of the measure for the unvaccinated in the population and, especially, for the youngest age group which doesn’t have to wear a mask in educational centres.
The President and Vice-President of the Local Branch of the Cruz Roja, Eduardo de la Morena and Juan María Zabalza respectively, were present at the Dénia delivery ceremony as well as the Director of Nursing of the DSD, Natalia Casado, the Head of Paediatrics at DSD, Josep Mut, and the Supervisor of the Paediatrics floor of the Hospital of Dénia, Naiara Carrillo.
For her part in Xàbia, the person responsible for Cruz Roja Aid and Emergencies, Vicenta Font, has been in charge of delivering the gifts to the Head of the Basic Zone, María José Mulet and the paediatrics team.
