Council will hire 19 people for a year through two regional employment promotion programs

The employment is aim at two age groups – under 30s and over 30s who have become unemployed due to COVID.

Xàbia Council has announced that it will be hiring 19 people to strengthen the municipal services through the regional initiatives AVALEM JOVES (EMCUJU Line), a  comprehensive training and employment plan for young people with the aim of improving their employment potential, and ECOVID, a social programme to support those made unemployed during the pandemic.

Councillor Marta Bañuls (Economic Development) explained that they are aimed at different age groups. EMCUJU is for people under 30 years of age and the council is offering nine positions, two of them with a specific technical profile (environmental technical engineer and graduate in legal economics) another six being administrative assistants who will be distributed in different municipal departments and a caretaker for the sports area.

EMCORP’s ECOVID programme is aimed at those over 30 years of age who have become unemployed due to COVID-19. The council is also looking for technical skills, such as an industrial engineer, an architect, an environmental engineer, and a specialist in linguistic normalization as well as three caretaker positions for municipal buildings and one gardening foreman.

The contracts are for one year and selection of candidates will be made through the Public Employment System (SEPE) so interested parties should note that it is essential that they are registered as a job seeker.
