Council removes dead pines from Granadella road as risk prevention
The work will also create a natural firebreak, reinforcing forest fire prevention in one of the most vulnerable areas of the town.

Xàbia Council, through the forestry brigade of the Department of the Environment and Services, has started work felling dry pines on the road to the popular Granadella cove, a fundamental step to ensure safety and prevent risks arising from the fall of these trees.
The objective of this intervention is twofold. On the one hand, it removes trees that pose a high risk of collapsing onto the road, preventing potential accidents. On the other hand, this action contributes to the creation of a natural firebreak, reinforcing forest fire prevention in one of the most vulnerable areas of the municipality.

The council acknowledges that Xàbia residents understand the importance of these initiatives, which will continue in various areas of the municipality in the coming weeks. Furthermore, the council is awaiting approval of two important forest management projects, which will allow for further progress in protecting the natural environment and preventing fires.
The council also emphasizes that its priority is its commitment to safety and environmental preservation, “promoting maintenance and conservation measures that guarantee the protection of our natural spaces.”
