Council approves plans to transform Jávea Park, Arenal
The call for tenders has been published on the Contracting Platform.
The local government board of Xàbia Council has approved the specifications of the contract for the project to completely renovate the sports and leisure area of Jávea Park, located in Avenida Paris in the Arenal neighbourhood.
The current open area will be adapted to improve access with an additional two entrances and reconfigured to create an enclosed children’s play area, a sports court with appropriate federation dimensions for hockey and five-a-side football as well as a half-court for basketball. In addition, the project will develop two areas protected from the sun by sails, one for chess and table tennis and another which will be intended for various purposes.
The improvements also include the creation of a lighting network in the Javea Park area as well as drinking water fountains and street furniture such as bicycle racks, waste bins and benches so that the residents of the neighbourhood can turn this area into a meeting point and a fun space for all ages.
The budget for the project is 463,317.64 euros with a maximum execution period of two and a half months.
After approval by the local government board, the contract specification were published on the State Contracting Platform on Wednesday 14th August.
