Hopp Bike is looking to introduce its electric scooter rental system to Xàbia and has already distributed 23 of these vehicles at different points in the municipality last weekend.
These scooters have a range of 40 minutes, and the system works by downloading an APP on the mobile phone/smartphone. When registering, the system asks you for permission to access the location and immediately shows you how many scooters are around you.
To be able to use it, you must register with a credit card, although the first two trips are free, albeit with a limitation of 15 kilometres. You have to scan the QR on each scooter and enjoy a ride.
The company sets some rules of use: the rider must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for any damage incurred; they must agree not to carry a passenger (package), not to ride under the influence of alcohol and use it only on bike lanes or in the road, not on pavements. It also establishes that the use of the helmet as mandatory.
Hopp Bike has a presence in the main cities of Iceland, such as Reykjavík and announces the next launch in Dénia, Murcia, Tenerife and Kosovo.
