Club Náutico Jávea double success in the Regional Optimist A Championship

Club Naútico Jávea’s Optimist A fleet enjoyed double success in the Regional Championships held at the weekend in Santa Pola as Mateo Carbonell is crowned champion and Arthur Baker takes the crown in the Under-13 category.
The championship featured five races in which the sailors of Jávea’s Optimist A fleet showed their high level of expertise. Along with Carbonell and Baker, Begoña Pérez-Manglano claimed both second place in the absolute classification and top spot in the female Under-13 category.
In the absolute classification, Raúl Martínez finished fifth and Liam Woods 8th whilst Carlota Gómez finished 13th (with a special mention since she leaves the category), Lewis McGregor finished 23rd, Charlie Crosbie claimed 25th, Pelayo Poveda 26th, Elena Pérez Manglano 29th, Mauro Poveda 34th, Tomás Carbonell 37th, Elizavetha Konac 57th and Marc Puig finished 68th.
