CHILDREN’S COUNCIL VISITS XÀBIA’S DESALINATION PLANT
The youngsters learnt how the plant creates water suitable for drinking.
The children of the CONSELL DELS XIQUETS – the Children’s Council – accompanied the councillor responsible for Children, Fátima Jarjor (PP) and the CEO of the municipal water company AMJASA, César Rodriguez, to visit the facilities of Xàbia’s desalination plant.
During the visit, the representatives of schoolchildren in Xàbia were able to learn about the process by which water is subjected to desalination to convert it into drinking water as well as all the plant machinery that does all the work to do so.
The visit was not only educational in nature, but also served to raise awareness among the little ones about the importance of responsible use of water.
This approach to one of the municipality’s fundamental infrastructures has not only expanded their knowledge about the water cycle but has also allowed them to experience first-hand the complexity and importance of the desalination plant for the lives of the residents of Xàbia. .
