The Department of Markets and Street Trading has announced some changes to the Thursday weekly market over the next few weeks as a result of the fiestas honouring the town’s treasured image of Jesús Nazareno and the bull-running that will be taking place in the Placeta del Convent.
On Thursday 27th April, the market stalls which are usually installed on the Placeta del Convent will be moved to the Plaza de Celestino Pons (next to the church and the indoor market) whilst the rest of the stalls on Plaza de la Constitución and Plaza de la Marina Alta will be located in their usual positions.
The following week, Thursday 4th May, the installation of a marquee on the Plaza de la Constitución for the Xàbia Folk music festival will mean that only the fruit and vegetable stalls will be set up in that location whilst the stalls in the Placeta del Convent and the Plaza de la Marina Alta will be located in the normal positions.
