Arts Society presents Japanism to Modernism: Japanese influences on Western art
The lecture will take place on Wednesday 5th June at the Casa de Cultura in the historic centre of Xàbia.
The Arts Society Marina Alta continues with its spring season of lectures with a talk exploring the opening of Japan to western trade in the 1860s, the paintings, prints and artifacts that came to Europe and the West, creating new styles and demand for all things ‘Japanese’.

The lectures will take place on Wednesday 5th June at the Espai la Senieta in Moraira at 11.00am (doors open 10.00am) and at the Casa de Cultura in Plaça del Baix in the heart of the historic centre of Xàbia at 7.30pm (doors open 6.45pm).
