Arts Society Marina Alta presents L.S. Lowry: A Visionary Artist

The lecture will take place on Wednesday 2nd April at the Casa de Cultura in the historic centre of Xàbia.

The Arts Society Marina Alta (TASMA) invites you to witness rare, recently discovered works by renowned, visionary British Artist L. S. Lowry.

L. S. Lowry was revered as an artist with a heart for depicting everyday life. His paintings mainly depict Pendlebury, Greater Manchester, as well as Salford, England. Lowry painted scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th Century.

Rare works by renowned British Artist L. S. Lowry have recently been discovered, many of which have never been exhibited. Michael Howard will curate this new collection in a London gallery, yet to be announced, and he will discuss the new collection of paintings in his upcoming lecture, L.S. Lowry: Visionary Artist. The lectures will take place on Wednesday 2nd April at the Espai la Senieta in Moraira at 11.00am (doors open at 10.15am), where there will be a post-lecture social hour at Brasserie Vivaldi for discussion and to enjoya complimentary glass of wine or soft drink with friends, and at the Casa de Cultura in Plaça del Baix in the heart of the historic centre of Xàbia at 7.30pm (doors open at 6.45pm), where the post-lecture social will take place at Chilitos.
