Artist Beatriz de Bartolomé presents her new exhibition “Alma Mediterránea”

Hosted by Hotel Sol Jávea, the exhibition is free to view until October 8th.

In her constant search for the moment when reality and illusion come together, artist Beatriz de Bartolomé has tried to capture the Mediterranean essence and the sensations of fulfilment that we have when contemplating the coast of Jávea in her new exhibition “Alma Mediterránea” which is being hosted by Hotel Sol Jávea until October 8th.

Beatriz de Bartolomé is an outstanding watercolour painter from Alcalá de Henares who loves to investigate new techniques such as using gold leaf and salt. She explained that each work is a journey to the heart of Jávea discovering its Mediterranean soul, capturing its blues, its aromas, experiencing a more active way of painting, even using sea water in its watercolours and also involving a marine sound when creating the work

She added that the skies continue to be protagonists but in some of the works the spatial situation gains movement allowing the aerial perspective to transmit different sensations to us when perceiving the work as if it were a seagull flight.

The exhibition is made up of more than twenty works of different sizes, some forming diptychs and triptychs to create a more three-dimensional environment and are distributed between the lobby and different rooms of the hotel from which you can also contemplate the sea. And among her works are two large painting, one of which was a finalist in the Premio Reina Sofia in Madrid.

Hotel Sol Jávea is located on Avenida del Mediterráneo, the coastal road between the port and the Arenal, and the exhibition can be visited every day until October 8th. Admission is free.
