Arenal Blues line-up promises spectacular music festival this weekend

The music festival will run from April 3rd-6th and features an addition day of music.

The line-up of the Arenal Blues was officially presented this week, a popular music festival which will be held from Thursday 3rd April to Sunday 6th April on two special stages on the Paseo del Tenista David Ferrer along the Playa del Arenal.

The councilor responsible for Culture, Mavi Pérez (CpJ), and the president of the XABLUES Association, Guillermo Cardona, confirmed the details of this new edition of the festival, which comes with many new features and a high-quality programme.

Pérez explained that this year’s festival will enjoy an additional day of concerts with the aim of bringing blues music closer to a younger audience. She also confirmed that the festival’s acts will play in two new locations along the beach promenade.

Guillermo Cardona highlighted the effort of the members of the XABLUES Association to organize this event, a festival that he considers “highly prestigious” and with a spectacular line-up, composed by some of the best artists on the national scene. Cardona said: “This year we have a selection of artists that will not leave anyone indifferent, with a unique proposal for all blues lovers”.

This year’s lineup includes renowned artists such as Lluis Coloma, A Contra Blues, Jimmy Barnatán & The Bowery Gang, The Soulmomonics, Maria Carbonell Blues Mood, Noa & The Hell Drinkers, La Blues Band de Granada, The Lazy Tones, Anne & The Blues Diggers and J. Escudero & The Aprenents.

The councilor thanked the XABLUES Association for its excellent organization and effort in making this festival possible as well as the Department of Culture for all the work and support provided to make this event possible. “It is an honour to have this event in our town, and I want to invite the residents and visitors alike to enjoy this first festival of the season, which will undoubtedly be a great success,” she concluded.
