Alicante provides funding to help maintain Granadella walking route
The subsidy will be used for various maintenance tasks on one of the most iconic walking routes in Xàbia.
Xàbia Council has received a grant of 3,988.69 euros from the Provincial Council of Alicante for the conservation and maintenance of the PR-CV 354 walking route, often known as the ‘Granadella Trail’. This funding will allow the local council to continue its preservation work in one of the most iconic natural sites in the area.
The PR-CV 354 Granadella walking route is one of the most appreciated hikes by both residents and visitors, due to its impressive natural beauty and ecological value. The route runs through the area of the Cala Granadella, an environmental zone of special protection due to its biodiversity and the presence of native species. Maintaining this place in optimal conditions is a priority for Xàbia Council, which has been working on its conservation for years.
The grant awarded by the Provincial Council of Alicante will be used for various maintenance tasks, such as repairing damaged sections of the trail, clearing away invasive vegetation, improving signage, and installing information panels to help walkers better understand and respect the environment.
