A rental boat sinks in front of the Cap de la Nau in Xàbia
The occupants abandoned ship and were rescued by another boat

A six-metre long boat sank earlier this week at the entrance to the Cova dels Orguëns which is located at the foot of the cliffs of Cap de la Nau. The vessel began to sink for unknown reasons, forcing its occupants, who had rented the boat to enjoy the coastline of Xàbia, to jump into the water. They aere rescued by another boat which was nearby.
The crew of Salvamar Diphda received the warning and deployed to Cap de la Nau to remove the partially-sunk boat and take it to the port. Lifeguards from the post in Portitxol also deployed to the spot in order to confirm that the occupants of the boat were uninjured and in good health.
