The Health Centre in Xàbia is starting the extraordinary vaccination campaign against COVID-19 and the first people to receive the vaccine will be those over 90 years of age.
A list of people who meet the requirements for this phase of the campaign has been compiled by Salud Pública from its databases and sent to the health centre, who will be contacting those listed to arrange an appointment for vaccination.
The Health Centre has confirmed that you DON’T have to ring them to make an appointment. They will receive the lists on a weekly basis, according to the availability of vaccine doses, and they will contact each person listed DIRECTLY to confirm the date and time that they will receive their dose.
Taking into account the special circumstances of the people who will be vaccinated during this phase (the elderly and those who have mobility problems), the Council has coordinated with the Cruz Roja to provide two ambulances for transport if required. Those who require this service should contact the offices of the Cruz Roja on 965 791 961, preferably from Monday to Friday during the morning (from 10.00am to 1.00pm).
In addition, the local police has reserved all the space in front of the health centre provide parking for people who will be taking their relatives to be vaccinated.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign is constantly updated and dependent on the doses received by the Ministry of Health, so more information will be provided as and when available.
