5,256 new cases reported in Comunidad Valenciana
A single outbreak was detected in the Marina Alta, in Dénia and affecting 4 people, social in origin.

5,256 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed through PCR or antigen tests; by province, the distribution of these new cases is 390 in Castellón, 2,403 in Valencia, and 2,463 in Alicante. In total, 330,029 positive cases have been recorded in the Comunidad Valenciana. There are currently 15 unassigned cases.
Outbreaks
There have been a total of 31 new outbreaks of the disease across the Comunidad Valenciana; by province, the distribution is 11 in Castellón, 17 in Valencia, and 3 in Alicante, of which 1 was in the Marina Alta region as follows:
- Dénia: 1 outbreak (4 cases – social)
There have now been 61 outbreaks of the coronavirus in the Marina Alta in 2021.
The origins of the new outbreaks in the region can be assigned 65% social, 19% work, 16% education.
Active Cases
The data shows that there are currently 67,243 active cases of COVID-19 in the Comunidad Valenciana, with represents 19.69% of the total number of positives cases recorded.
Deaths
There have been 112 deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total for the Comunidad Valenciana to 5,075 people; by province, the distribution of the deaths is 608 Castellón, 2,610 Valencia, and 1,857 Alicante.
Hospitalization
There are 4,193 people currently in hospitals across the Comunidad Valenciana who are being treated for the COVID-19 infection; by province, the distribution is 426 Castellón with 55 patients in ICU, 2,126 Valencia with 351 in ICU, and 1,641 Alicante with 244 in ICU.
Recoveries
8,330 recoveries from COVID-19 have been registered; a total of 269,197 people in the Comunidad Valenciana have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.
Vaccination
164,359 doses of the vaccination have been administered throughout the Comunidad Valenciana, 161,133 Pfizer/BioNtech and 3,226 Modena. Up to now, 59,612 people has completed the vaccination programme in our region.
