CF INTERCITY “B” vs CD JÁVEA
Saturday 18th January, 3.30pm
Polideportivo Municipal de San Juan, Sant Joan d’Alacant

OUR OPPONENTS

CF Intercity “B” is the reserve side of CF Intercity, which currently plays in the Primera Federación. The “B” side was formed in 2020, winning group 14 of the Segunda Regional at the first time of asking, chalking up 11 wins in the 12 games that the pandemic-reduced season allowed.

At the end of the 2022-23 season, the side finished 9th in Group 7 of the Primera Regional and was re-allocated to the Segona FFCV in the restructuring of regional football in the Comunidad Valenciana, a drop to the third tier. They responded by finishing runners-up in Group 7 behind CD Betis Florida and won the two-legged play-off against Júpiter CF de Massamagrell (Group 2) 6-2 on aggregate to achieve promotion to the Primera FFCV.

CF Intercity “B” currently sits in 15th spot with just two victories in 13 games. The last two games have been defeats – CD Betis Florida at home (1-2) and CD Montesinos away (2-1) – and they suffered a 1-7 home defeat against current league leaders Santa Pola CF back in September, a week after a losing 1-5 at Villena CF. This season’s top scorer is Andrés Julian Romano with 4 goals from seven games.
