Second edition of San Silvestre Perrestre will take place on Sunday 29th December
Part of the registration fee of 7 euros will be donated to APASA.
Following last year’s success, Xàbia will celebrate the 2nd San Silvestre Perrestre Race on Sunday 29th December, an event that combines sport, fun, solidarity and the special participation of our pets. Organized by the Club Esportiu Llebeig Xàbia together with the company Asevi, it promises to fill the streets of the historic centre with energy, becoming a highlight of the Christmas calendar.
The route, designed for all levels of fitness, follows a festive and winding layout through the streets of the historic centre. With start and finish at the Placeta del Convent, the route is 2.250 metres long per lap. Runners will complete two laps, totalling 4.5 kilometres, while walkers will complete a single lap of 2.250 metres.
To ensure a smooth experience, walkers will begin their route after the first lap of runners, with the runners setting off at 10.00am and the walkers’ starting at around 10.15am. The awards ceremony for the best individual and group costumes is scheduled to take place at 11.00am. There will also be prizes for the first three to cross the finish line with and without a dog.
This event will be allocating part of the registration fee to APASA which looks after the welfare of pets in Xàbia. The registration period ends on Thursday 26th December or when the 500 available places are filled. Interested parties can sign up online here via the somesport.com portal for 7 euros, where two euros of the registration fee go to APASA.
