Xàbia Handball Club launches first Inter-School Handball League
The league will be held between January and May 2025, with competition days taking place every 15 days on Wednesdays
With the aim of promoting sport and teamwork among the young people of Xàbia, the Club Handbol Xàbia has launched the first edition of the Inter-School Handball League. This pioneering initiative is aimed at all schools in the town, inviting them to actively participate in a project that combines physical activity, values and fun.
Registration is now open and will be managed through the schools. The competition is aimed at boys and girls in 5th and 6th grade of Primary School (Alevín category), who can register until December 20th 2024. In addition, the incorporation of new participants will be allowed during the development of the league to facilitate maximum participation.
The School Handball League will be held between January and May 2025, with competition days taking place every 15 days on Wednesdays from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, at the Municipal Sports Centre.
The president of the Club Handbol Xàbia, Iván Almazán, highlighted the importance of this new sporting proposal: “We want to invite all boys and girls to participate in this initiative, which not only promotes sports, but also values such as camaraderie, fun and collective effort.“
The councillor responsible for Sports in Xàbia, Toni Molina (PP), congratulated the club for its commitment to grassroots sport: “Projects such as this expand the sporting offer in our town and encourage the practice of healthy activities among the youngest. The local council will continue to support initiatives that promote sport as a tool for social cohesion and learning.”
