Almost half of the 6,340 shopping vouchers have already been claimed
The Department of Economic Development confirmed that more than 800 were sold in just 30 minutes.
According to Xàbia.com, almost half of the 6,340 shopping vouchers offered in the latest edition of the ‘Campaña Bons Consum’ have been claimed, despite the difficult start to the application process. This means that there are still more than 3,000 vouchers available worth 100€ EUR which can be spent in participating businesses in Xàbia.
The councillor responsible for Economic Development, Juanlu Cardona (PP), explained that the demand for the vouchers had been so great, with almost 800 sold in just 30 minutes, that the online platform crashed temporarily. However, he added that the incidents have been “minor” and that his department has been helping some people to purchase vouchers by phone, email and through the CREAMA office where residents can go to receive assistance.
The vouchers, which can be bought for 50€ EUR, will be available to purchase until Saturday 14th December – or until they are sold out – and they will be available to use in participating businesses until Sunday 15th December. Interested parties can access the online platform bonsconsum.xabia.es to claim one. The same link can also be followed to discover which businesses are participating in this current campaign.
