Call for the Second Edition of the “Gala del Comerç i l’Empresa de Xàbia” Awards
The awards honour the local business people who have contributed to the economic and social development of the town.
The Department of Commerce in Xàbia, through the Agency for the Promotion of Commercial Innovation (AFIC) and CREAMA, and in collaboration with the trade associations in the town, has launched the call for the second edition of the “Gala del Comerç i l’Empresa de Xàbia” awards. This initiative aims to value and publicly highlight the effort and dedication of local business people who have contributed to the economic and social development of the town.
Requirements for Participation
Small and medium-sized retail, craft or service companies based in Xàbia can apply for these awards. Participation is open to both those companies that wish to apply and to individuals who wish to propose an establishment. All candidates must comply with legal regulations and be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations.
The registration period begins with the publication of the call on the notice board of the municipal website and will be open until October 20, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. Applications must be submitted to the Ayuntamiento general registry or through the electronic office (https://xabia.sedelectronica.es), accompanied by a brief report with the merits and a description of the establishment as well as photographs and other supporting documents.
Award Categories
- Recognition of the business trajectory, aimed at companies with more than 15 years of activity that have significantly contributed to the economic and social development of Xàbia.
- Recognition of digitalization and use of new technologies, aimed at those initiatives that have modernized the relationship with their customers through the implementation of new technologies.
- Recognition of sustainable commerce/company which aims to reward businesses that adopt responsible and environmentally friendly practices in their daily operations.
- Recognition of new businesses/companies, aimed at those businesses that began their activity after January 1st 2021 and that stand out for their image, creativity and quality.
Awards
Each award-winning company will receive a commemorative statuette and a video interview about the history of their company which will be presented during the awards ceremony. The date of the gala will be Friday 25th October.
Evaluation Criteria and Jury
The jury will be made up of representatives of the town hall, local trade associations and a CREAMA trade technician. The merits of the companies will be evaluated based on their seniority, implementation of technologies, sustainability and differentiation, among other factors.
