Festes Loreto 2024: 100 euros up for grabs in paella competition
The paella competition will take place on Thursday 5th September in Calle Doctor Fleming.
Are you the cook of your group who always surprises everyone, perfectly replicating your grandmother’s paella (which we all know are always the best)? The Comissió de Festes Mare de Déu de Loreto are looking for the best paella of the season in a special competition next Thursday 5th September which 100 euros up for grabs as a reward for serving up the best dish.
The fiesta commission are looking for peñas, groups of friends and families to participate in this gastronomic celebration of local culture, a paella cooking competition that will take place in Calle Doctor Fleming in Duanes de la Mar next Thursday from 1.30pm. The commission will provide the rice and the paellas must be ready for tasting by 3.00pm. Registration to participate can be made at the Baret dels Bous until Tuesday 3rd September.
And remember, the day will be full of activity with a fun Grand Prix of games beforehand as well as music and entertainment provided by Xaranga M’en Fot d’Ondara until 6.00pm.
