Camí Cabanes roundabout improvement project completed
The work aims to improve both connectivity and road safety at the junction.
Work to improve road safety at the roundabout at the junction of Camí Cabanes with Travesía de Cansalades – often known as the ‘Carrasco roundabout’ – which has been carried out by the Alicante Provincial Council have been completed.
The project involved the reorganisation of the roundabout to improve connectivity and to meet the requests from residents to improve road safety. In addition, the municipal water company AMJASA was able to take advantage of the work to replace a section of the drinking water network pipeline that passes through this important connection to the urbanizations.
Mayor Rosa Cardona acknowledged what she called the “immediate response” of the provincial secretary for Highways, Arturo Poquet, to meet resident demands to improve road safety at the junction as well for the coordination with AMJASA. She stressed that “collaboration” with other administration was essential to meet the needs of Xàbia and its residents.
