Registration opens for Municipal Summer School

Registrations open on Tuesday 4th June through the Sports website or in person at the sports centre.

The Departments of Youth and Sports in Xàbia have announced the details of the Summer School 2024, whose main novelty this year is that the sports summer school and the usual recreational summer school are merged into one. Some 225 places in total will be offered which will allow children to enjoy a sports and recreational experience during the school holidays as well as help families juggle family and work life during the summer. There will also be 20 places reserved for boys and girls with special needs, who must register in person at the Palau d’Esports, providing supporting documentation.

Registration to attend the summer school – L’ESCOLA DE ESTIU – will open at 10.00am on Tuesday 4th June and will remain open until Tuesday 11th June 11 and families with children from 6 to 12 years old will be able to register through the Sports APP here or in person at the Palau d’Esports in Avenida del Furs for a cost of 90.72 euros per month (four weeks) with the option of registering for both summer months (eight weeks) while children born in 2019, 2020 and 2021 may register through the same system but will be exempt from the registration fee. All requests will be attended to based on registration in Xàbia and order of registration.

The combination of the two municipal summer schools aims to offer a broader and more varied program, where sports activities are intertwined with creative workshops, crafts, games and excursions. This new approach not only seeks to promote children’s physical development but also stimulate their creativity and social skills, offering an alternative for leisure and free time so that everyone can develop values such as coexistence, collaboration and involvement.

The summer school will begin on Monday 1st July and will continue until Friday 23rd August. It will be located at CEIP Port de Xàbia and the Palau Municipal d’Esports in Avenida del Furs, which will allow the children to make the most of both the educational and sports facilities in an ideal environment for these activities and the enjoyment of the little ones.
