School children will be performing a special spring concert this Sunday
Students from four schools – three from Xàbia and one from Poble Nou de Benitatxell – will be singing in the Plaza de la Constitución.
This Sunday 19th May at 7.30pm in the Plaza de la Constitución, the educational project “L’ESCOLA CANTA” will be bringing three schools in Xàbia together – CEIP Mediterrània, CEIP Graüll and Colegio Maria Immaculada – with CEIP Maria Magdalena del Poble Nou de Benitatxell to perform a special spring concert.
The project is promoted by the Ministry of Education at the Generalitat Valenciana to encourage teamwork and the development of skills and multilingualism through music in the school community in the region. It is also supported by the local Departments of Education and Culture.
Accompanied by the musicians from the Centre Artístic Musical de Xàbia (CAM), the 5th and 6th grade students will be performing a work entitled “Els Super ODS: Aventura 2030” composed by Mª José Belenguer with lyrics by Servei d’Innovació. The performance revolves around Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) and Agenda 2030 through the fantastic world of superheroes.
The show will be free to attend.
