XÀBIA COUNCIL APPROVES MODIFICATION OF TAXI FARES
The rates charged by the local taxi service have been modified in preparation for the Easter period.
The latest plenary session of Xàbia Council has approved a modification of the fare prices that can be charged by taxis in Xàbia, updating the rates to match the current IPC (consumer prices index).
The councillor responsible for Transport, Juan Ortolá (CPJ), explained that the council has decided to act in response to a request from the Xàbia Taxi Cooperative and have done so as quickly as possible so that the new prices will be ready to come into force during Semana Santa.
The two rates charged by taxis have been modified:
- Rate 1 · the base rate will be 3,95 euros and for each kilometre, a further 1,14 euros will be charged; there will be a minimum charge of 5,00 euros. The waiting charge is 22,98 euros.
- Rate 2 · the base rate will be 5,05 euros and for each kilometre, a further 1.45 euros will be charged; there will be a minimum charge of 6,00 euros. In addition, this rate also includes a special night-time supplement of 6,00 euros. The waiting charge is 30,65 euros.
