CD Jávea drop to the bottom of the table after losing this valuable six-pointer at Santa Pola, a defensive error allowing the hosts to score what would be the winning goal just four minutes from time.

The defeat has left a bittersweet taste in the mouth as the match was a golden opportunity to claim some valuable points in the fight against relegation against a side that had suffered the successive defeats and dropped into the bottom three. Despite showing plenty of confidence in defence and having some key moments, including the debut of young goalkeeper Miller Hales after a injury to Tonet after 35 minutes, the rojiblancos were unable to capitalize on their opportunities.

And it would end up being an error in front of goal that would allow Santa Pola’s Sotoca to grab the goal that would end up deciding the match, leaving Jávea to head back north empty-ended and finding themselves back on the bottom of the table, three points adrift of safety.
