More than 211,000 euros is allocated to complete the Castellans sewage network
The much-delayed project has been affected by heavy rains, strikes, COVID and missing infrastructure.
Xàbia Council has published details of the public tender for the contract to complete the work on the Camí Castellans sewage network which has been outstanding for some months. The project has an initial budget of 211,014.04 euros and an expected execution period of two months.
According to the project details drawn up by the town planning specialists at the town hall, the work will include the installation of the last section of sewage network that will serve the houses in the Castellans area, a length of 87 metres, completing the total network length of 1,192 metres. In addition, the project will replace the zone’s main drinking water supply pipe, the new material being provided to the contractor by the municipal water company AMJASA.
On completion of the pipework, the contractor will be required to lay a concrete slab along a section of Camí Castellans that has partially collapsed and resurface 1,170 metres of the road along which the entire network runs.
Once the new sewage network is completed, it will serve around 900 homes in the Castellans area.
