Council opens registration period for businesses to participate in new Shopping Voucher campaign
Interested parties have until Tuesday 17th October to apply online to participate in an initiative aimed to reactivate the local economy.
The Department of Economic Dynamization has opened the registration period for interested businesses to participate in the 2023 Shopping Voucher campaign – “Recuperem Xàbia 2023” – that will be developed over the next few months.
The responsible councillor, Juanlu Cardona, explained that the registration period has already opened today (Wednesday) for interested businesses to apply to join the campaign through council’s online virtual office (click here). To make the application, the business owner must present a certificate of census status and an up-to-date certificate for Social Security and Tax as well as the FUC code of the business (for use with a POS transaction). Those businesses which have already participated in the previous edition only have to confirm and it will not be necessary to present the documentation again. The registration period will close on Tuesday 17th October.
The councillor revealed that the budget for this third shopping voucher campaign is 315,428 euros which will be allocated to create a total of 3,150 vouchers for a nominal value of 150 euros, of which the holder will pay 50 euros and the remaining 100 euros will be a direct contribution from the local council with a subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council.
He added that the the voucher can be used like the last edition, similar to a credit card to “spend as you wish” in participating businesses. For businesses and companies, the format will also be the same.
Finally, the councillor urged all businesses and hospitality venues in Xàbia to join this initiative which aims to help “reactivate the economy over the next few months” and “promote local shopping with businesses that give life to our urban centres”.
The tax demands will be delivered to the home. If not received, they can be downloaded from the Oficina Virtual Tributaria (click here) or in person at the Oficial de Atención al Público in Calle Mayor, 15.
