A large audience fascinated by Balansiyyà musical show
The Ars Nova choral group and musicians of CAM Xàbia performed the show in the Plaza de la Constitución.
On Saturday evening, the talented musicians of Ars Nova and the Centre Artístic Musical de Xàbia demonstrated the great result of their united enthusiasm and energy to produce a wonderful evening of music and emotions.
The musical BALANSIYYÀ was performed, a show which included a fantastic cast of protagonists including the magical voice of Xabia’s own Josep Vicent Miralles who transported the audience to the ancient city in the time of Jaume to the music of maestro José Rafael Pascua-Vilaplana and the performances of Lúcia Candela, Moisés Requena, Javier Pérez and Vicent Pérez, who played Rey Jaume, Rey Omar, prince Alfonso and princess Azahara, and enthalled the audience with their singing. A young member of Petit Ars, Marc Buigues, was also on hand to play the little prince.
The performers wanted to highlight the strength of the message: the destruction caused by power and selfishness, love as the most important part of our lives, and respect between cultures and traditions.
The dedication of the two associations, and especially the two directors, Rubén Penadés and Gonzalo de la Guía, to the project as well as the more than 80 pepple involved, was commendable and the large audience appreciated it with long applause at the end of the performance.
It is clear that the great treasure of Xàbia is its associations and its motivation to take on great challenges, such as a show of this importance which appears in the municipal programme which marks October 9th, the Día de la Comunitat Valenciana.
