Candlelight Summer is a season of candlelight concerts that bring the magic of a musical experience to iconic places across the country. On Friday 28th July, the candles will be lit inside the historic fortress-church of Sant Bartolomé in the heart of the historic centre of Xàbia where musicians will be performing Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’.
There will be two concerts lasting just over an hour, one at 7.00pm and the second at 9.00pm, and tickets are priced from 15 euros to 32 euros, depending on the position of the preferred seating inside the church, the most expensive being closer to the performers. Seats are also assigned in each zone on a first-come, first-served basis.
The concert will feature the following programme:
- Concerto No. 1 in E major, Op. 8, RV 269, “Spring” (La Primavera)
- Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, “Summer” (L’Estate)
- Concerto No. 3 in F major, Op. 8, RV 293, “Autumn” (L’Autunno)
- Concerto No. 4 in F minor, Op. 8, RV 297, “Winter” (L’Inverno)
