CD Jávea and Crevillente Deportivo tied with two goals in the penultimate match of preparation for Juan Carlos Signes. It was a trial by fire against a team which was crowned champions of Group V of the Liga Preferente last season but missed out on promotion to the Third Division in the play-off finals.
Jávea went out cold and in the first minutes the home side took advantage and stormed into an early two-goal lead. Eventually, Jávea got themselves into the game and started to move the ball more confidentially around the pitch. As the minutes went by, they forced themselves more into the game and Javi reduced the arrears to make it 1-2 at half-time.
In the second half, both coaches made several changes and again it was Javi who scored to tie the game, after initially smashing a ball into the crossbar.
On Friday, the team will be officially presented in front of their fans and play the last game of the pre-season against neighbours Gorgos CF.
