Reduced weekly market during June due to Fogueres de Sant Joan
There will be a reduced market on June 9th and NO weekly market at all on June 23rd, the day of the wonderful Nit dels Focs.

The councillor responsible for Markets, Susana Ern, has confirmed that the Thursday weekly market will be operated in a reduced form for much of the month of June due to the celebration of the festivities of Fogueres de Sant Joan, arguably the biggest party of the year in Xàbia.
This Thursday 9th June, the market will be reduced to the Plaza del Convent and the Plaza Marina Alta (the post office square) due to the installation of a stage and arena on the Plaza de la Constitución in preparation for the three days of proclamations that will be taking place over the weekend.
On Thursday 16th June, the market will be able to set up as normal in the usual positions whilst there will be NO weekly market on Thursday 23rd June, the day before the feast of Sant Joan, due to the installation of the two Fogueres monuments in Plaza de la Constitución and Placeta del Convent and the preparations for the hugely popular Nit dels Focs which will be featuring the traditional of fire-jumping around the perimeter of the historic centre and the chaotic correfocs parade until the early hours of the morning.
